| Esther Ahonen believed that her ex-husband, who had custody of her children, was molesting them. She turned a weekend visitation with her children into six years of running, sleeping in safe houses and looking over her shoulder for the F.B.I. She ultimately paid the price after being caught by authorities in Fort Worth, Texas. Ahonen would spend seven months in Oxford County, Maine, on a fifty-thousand-dollar bond. She pled guilty to kidnapping and received time served. She now has visitation with her children. |
